Health Plan Alliance Selects 1upHealth as Preferred Health Data Interoperability Partner for its Group Purchasing Organization

BOSTON – Aug 7, 2023 – 1upHealth, provider of a market-leading FHIR-native platform for clinical data integration and API-enabled data connectivity, today announced it has been selected as the preferred vendor for interoperability solutions and services by the Health Plan Alliance (Alliance). Alliance, a national network of more than 30 provider-sponsored and independently owned health plans, is committed to driving measurable performance improvement, enhancing quality, and fostering enterprise-wide innovation.

After a thorough evaluation process, the Alliance chose 1upHealth over other healthcare interoperability vendors citing the company’s proven experience, focus on continuous product innovation, dedication to exceptional client service, and cost-effectiveness.

1upHealth will provide Alliance members with their data platform, designed on the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) protocol, to support interoperability requirements including Prior Authorization, Payer-to-Payer, and Patient Access. The easy to implement platform will provide members with seamless access to claims and clinical data and enable value-added data exchange and analytic use cases. 

1upHealth is currently working with several Alliance members including Cox Health Plans, Health First, and Western Health Advantage.
