Justin Hatem serves as Chief Information Security Officer at 1upHealth, where he’s responsible for the overall security posture of the company, its IT infrastructure, and all 1up solutions. A technology leader with over 20 years of experience developing information security and technology strategy, Justin brings a passion for building teams charged with developing secure, global infrastructure solutions.

Prior to joining 1upHealth, Justin served as the Senior Director of Information Security, Architecture & Engineering at HealthEdge, where he managed information security strategy while leading and promoting a culture of security by design. Prior to that, he served as Chief Information Security Officer at Wellframe, where he oversaw all aspects of information and data security for the company.

Justin obtained a MBA along with a B.S. in Management & Information Technology from Daniel Webster College in Nashua, New Hampshire. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds numerous technical certifications from Amazon Web Services and Microsoft.

Fun Fact

Justin enjoys hiking, traveling, gaming, and Formula One. He has traveled to 6 of the 7 continents and one day hopes to take a trip to the 7th.

On being RESOLUTE

One of the many things that fascinates me about Formula One racing is the relentless pursuit of the finest margins of improvement; where every detail is analyzed, refined, and optimized. This is not unlike information security, where even the strongest security programs are only good enough for today. Like the pursuit of performance, security is never “finished”, and complacency is a vulnerability.  What excites me about working at 1upHealth is working with a team that embraces this mindset to protect customer data, collaborating and iterating to be just a little better than yesterday.
