External plans can get client credentials to request data from your plan. Credentials are limited to read USCDI clinical data only. External plans must direct member to 1up’s existing member match or your authentication flow where members authorize data sharing (just like with any other patient access app).
Receive data from external plans
External plans can get client credentials to share data with you (in this case the receiving plan). The external plans will have only scopes to create new resources. 1up will preserve the provenance and ensure only new resources are created without modifying existing resources from your organization.
Maintain data to share with subsequent plans
Data goes into 1upHealth FHIR server under a new patient ID but within the same user’s scope. When subsequent plans request data, they will get all the data from the sending plan (you) and any data shared from previous plans with alternate patient IDs
Want to leverage connections from others? Go beyond the regs
1up integrates with hundreds of other health plans (clinical and claims data) and thousands of provider organizations (clinical data). We have both the directory and keys to get that data to our customers.
