FHIR on its own is not queryable – it needs to be flattened in order to be used within a relational database. SQL on FHIR takes your FHIR data and facilitates it through a process so that it is queryable for SQL purposes. Making FHIR data available and computable in a timely, relational manner enables customers to reduce costs, increase revenue, smooth operations, and gain new capabilities.
SQL on FHIR provides read-only, timely access to a client’s data in our secure FHIR server using standard SQL tooling. This makes it easy to start discovering insights and creating compelling visualizations using common tools such as Power BI and Tableau, as well as many other SQL-oriented tools.
